Britelink's Journey

2015

DAC Security uses its experience in residential installations to begin FTTH drops.

2016

BritelinkMCT is formed as a joint venture between Fibrehoods & DAC.

2017 | MILESTONE

14000 Drop installations + 250 MDUs built + 15000 homes maintained.

2018

Operations expand in Cape Town and Bloemfotein. 20000 Drop installations + 350 MDUs built + 102000 homes maintained.

2019

BritelinkMCT takes over the Vumatel JHB PMO. Operations expand in Port Elizabeth.

2019 | NOVEMBER

BritelinkMCT breaks ground in Polokwane - Start of secondary cities movement and operations expand into Soweto.

2020

Operations expand in East London and Vaal Triangle. 11000 Core homes deployed in a single month.

2020 | APRIL | MILESTONE

65000 Drop installations + 210000 Homes maintained + Over 60000 homes passed.

2020 | JULY | MILESTONE

10482 Core homes completed in Polokwane.

2020 | AUGUST

Ekurhuleni build kicks off in Germiston and Nigel.

2020 | SEPTEMBER

Limpopo operations expand to Tzaneen, Mokopane, Louis Trichardt and Phalaborwa.

2020 | OCTOBER

Operations expand into KwaZulu-Natal.

2021

Britelink's Head Office moves from Randburg to Melrose Arch. Britelink currently has 13 offices across South Africa. Over 103 000 homes passed and 450 000+ homes maintained.

2021 | October

Britelink merges with MCT Telecommunications to form BritelinkMCT.

2022 | Milestone

186 493+ Drop installations, 1 155 000 homes maintained and over 300 000 homes passed.

MCT Telecommunications is formed.

2009

MCT KwaZulu-Natal and Western Cape offices open.

2010

MCT connects all IZEKO sites in CBD.

2012

MCT progresses to building full routes for DFA.

2015

Rollout in Val de Vie Estate, Western Cape.

2016

3149 spurs and entries successfully completed.

2017

3579 spurs and entries successfully completed.

2019

214km route build in the Jeppes Reef area (Mpumalanga).

2020

53km build from Bambi to Lydenburg.
